Review: AMZDeals Lightbox and the UBeesize Phone Tripod
I needed more lighting on my food photography and wanted to purchase a lightbox to see if it helped even out my photos. I bought the AMZDeals Lighbox with the LED strip lighting across the top of the box. Because my hands are shaky I also purchased the Review: AMZDeals Lightbox and the UBeesize Phone Tripod. Our family likes to try out tech and we have a lot of fun doing it. This week my husband built my son his first gaming PC. We are living in the Silicon Valley, after all.
While I am very pleased with the tripod the lightbox left a lot to be desired. We already own a canvas box that has outside lighting sources. It’s a great system but it’s bulky. I was hoping the AMZDeals Lightbox could eliminate the time of setting up the other system.
The photos were okay. Granted I was only using an iPhone 7 for the test my test phone photos from my bulky box look way better.
To test the box and UBeesize phone tripod I had a photo shoot with my first PSL (pumpkin spice latte) of the year.
Behold my basicness:

And my darling on the pedestal she deserves to be on.
Even with photoshop editing, the colors look bland and a bit off. I don’t think the lighting source works well for food or product photography. The integrity of the box isn’t sound and as you can see below it folds in on itself.
The tripod was bendy and did exactly what I wanted it to do. Very intuitive design.
I’m going to try to add outside lighting before giving up on the box. I think maybe canvas is the way to go for small light boxes. The plastic version isn’t impressing me, nor is the overhead LED strip lighting.
